Other Betting Options for the PGA Championship
While Tiger Woods is the strong favourite to win the PGA Championship, some punters will want to look beyond him when placing their bets.
While Tiger pulled off an extremely impressive victory at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational last weekend, he hasn’t won a major since the 2008 U.S. Open and there will be a huge amount of pressure on him at the PGA.
Phil Mickelson is the second favourite to win; there are odds of 16/1 available on him which could earn you a lot of money if he manages to win. Mickelson won the British Open last month, but has recently said that he is having a hard time focusing.
Another player to consider is Jason Dufner at 40/1.
Dufner had a big run in the final round of the U.S. Open at Merion and played extremely well at Firestone last week. Generally he has looked to be in good farm recently and has the potential to win his first major.
You could also try Hunter Mahan at 30/1. Recently he withdrew with a 2-shot lead at 13-under par after two rounds at the RBC Canadian Open as his wife, Kandi, had gone into labour. Mahan is likely to be feeling a very happy man at the moment and could easily pull out a big performance.
