Tottenham Reject £82 Million Offer for Gareth Bale
Tottenham Hotspurs has said that Gareth Bale is worth £100 million after rejecting a world record offer of £82 million from Real Madrid. Bale is said to be deeply upset as it has been his lifelong dream to play for the Spanish club.
The rejection is sure to affect the betting odds, at present there are odds of 4/5 that Bale will transfer to Real Madrid and odds of 11/10 that he will stay at Tottenham. However, a £100 million offer seems unlikely so the chances are Bale will stay where he is.
Tottenham Chief Daniel Levy is determined to make it hard for Bale to leave. Apparently Real Madrid has made it clear that they expect Bale to make a transfer request and has offered him a six-year contract worth £150,000 a week.
A senior source at Real said, “Bale is the only high-profile player we are pursuing. Ancelotti will play him on the left and Cristiano Ronaldo on the right in a4-3-3 formation. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Bale will be a Real player this summer.”
The pressure is certainly on Bale to force through a transfer and not let this opportunity pass.
