Miami Heat Focus on Winning the Championship

There is very little doubt that the Miami Heat is playing better than any other team in the NBA at the moment.

Miami Heat Focus on Winning the Championship

Regardless of the fact that they are on an 18 game winning streak, the Miami Heat is only interested in winning the championship this season.

The team is currently on an 18 game winning streak and sitting at the top of the league table. However, regardless of the team’s fantastic form and the seventh longest winning streak in NBA history, the primary goal is to win the championship this season.

Lebron James said, “Our goal isn’t to win games consecutive. Our goal is to win a championship. Right now, our goal is to get better each and every game, to continue to improve. That was never one of our goals coming into the season, see how many games we’d win in a row. Our goal is to win a championship and not take any shortcuts in that process.”

This week Miami will be going for its 19th win against the Atlanta Hawks followed by the Philadelphia 76ers.

If they can win both games then the team will become the fourth team ever to win 20 straight games in the same season.

At some point the streak will end, nonetheless, the team will not be too disappointed as they still have their eyes on the long term goal of winning the championship.
