HTC to Supply Official UEFA Smartphones

HTC has reached a deal with UEFA to become the official phone supplier for the Champions and Europa Leagues.

HTC is expecting that the deal will place it at the forefront of two of the world’s most popular football competitions and hopes to provide users of their phones new ways of accessing the action.

Peter Chou, CEO at HTC, said that the company will “be working closely with UEFA to offer football experiences to all fans in addition to providing a richer overall mobile experience.”

UEFA General Secretary, Gianni Infantino, said that “through this partnership UEFA and HTC will promote European club football to a worldwide audience and bring new opportunities for our fans to engage with the competitions.”

The deal is a massive success for HTC which has been struggling in recent years to position itself in the smartphone market.

As UEFA’s fans come from right across the globe the deal offers HTC a fantastic opportunity to establish itself once again as a leading smartphone manufacturer.
