Manchester United vs Liverpool Betting Preview
Tomorrow Manchester United face Liverpool in what some have described as the greatest derby in the world.
The two clubs have a long established rivalry however, United are looking the far stronger team this season.
The bookies greatly favour a United win with odds of 11/12 available, Liverpool are quite a way behind at 7/2 while a draw has been put at 31/11.
While Liverpool have been known to surprise in big games, when the two teams last met United won 2-1 in a match which saw Jonjo Shelvey receive a controversial red and Van Persie win the match with a late penalty.
United have kept a clean sheet in their last two matches against West Brom and Wigan, however, their defence has looked shaky all season and has conceded 26 goals so far.
Often it is Robin van Persie who comes to the team’s rescue; he is the league’s top scorer with 16 goals and has contributed 6 assists.
Liverpool has shown inconsistent form all season and it has cost them lots of points. While they have qualified for the Europa League’s next round, it remains in doubt if they can finish in the top four.
