Chelsea vs Aston Villa Betting Preview
This evening Chelsea takes on Aston Villa and they will be trying for a good result following their disappointing loss to the Corinthians in the Club World Cup.
However, it doesn’t look like Chelsea has much to worry about; there are odds of 4/11 on a Chelsea Victory while the best odds on Villa are 9/1.
Chelsea will see the return of Gary Cahill, John Obi Mikel and Ramires from suspension and Rafa Benitez is expected to have them all starting.
However, while Captain John Terry is back in training he is not yet fit enough to play and it is still not known if he will be able to play in any of the Christmas games.
Daniel Sturridge is also expected to be out and Oriol Romeu won’t be playing again until at least June.
Villa will see the return of Gabriel Agbonlahor as well as Stephen Ireland who has recovered from the illness which saw him miss the Liverpool match. However, there are a number of injuries plaguing the Villa squad; Darren Bent, Richard Dunne, Ron Vlaar and Stiliyan Petrov have no return dates as yet, and midfielder Craig Gardner is out until May.
