In fact, the bookies don’t think that the Magic have a chance of winning, the Los Angeles Lakers have odds of 1/16 of winning while the home team don’t have odds better than 9/1.
If the Magic, under new head coach Jacque Vaughn, could pull of a victory then fans will definitely think that he’s done his job for the season.
So far the team has done a good job on defence, they are ranked first in opponents 3pt% (.301), 8th in FG% (.436), and 8th in points allowed per game (93.5).
The team will need to keep the defence working hard, doubling Howard on the block, helping defenders with fast rotations and limiting the number of offensive rebounds to the Lakers.
The Lakers on the other hand just need to make sure that Howard gets the ball and he should easily carry them to victory, it’s not without reason that fans are calling him Superman.
This won’t be the most exciting match of the season, but fans can at least expect to see Orlando Magic put up a passionate fight on their home turf.
