The Latest Pre-Season News from the Serie A

As always there is loads of exciting stuff going on in the Serie A as next season approaches.

As next season approaches teams in the Serie A are making their preparations and looking forward to an exciting season of football.

To start with Fiorentina seem to be the most likely team to claim Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh. It seems that Arsene Winger is ready to get rid of Chamakh after he scored just 12 goals in 63 appearances over two years.

It has been reported that Fiorentina are prepared to pay up to 4 million for Chamakh and it is thought that he is interested in a switch to Italy.

In other news AC Milans Vice-President, Adriano Galliani, has reiterated his desire to win the Scudetto (football championships) in the upcoming 2012/13 season. Last season AC Milan missed out on the Scudettto to Juventus; this was hard for them to accept as they had a healthy lead over Juventus for most of the season.

Galliani said that their objective is to fight to win the championship. He also said that they are hoping to reduce the number of injuries as there is a direct correlation between injuries and obtaining results.

The club seems to have seriously shrunk with a number of players missing from this years pre-season training. Players such as Clarence Seedorf, Marc Van Bommel, Filippo Inzaghi, Alessandro Nesta and Gennaro Gattuso have all been missing.

Galliani said that while there are a few players missing from training, there are some exciting new faces like ACerbi and Constant. He said that he thinks the squad is good enough to fight for the objectives which we have set ourselves.

So far the club havent made any high profile signings and Galliani has said that as far as he knows there will be no other signings at the club. However, he also said that the future is uncertain and anything could happen.
