Arsenal vs. Fulham Match Preview

This Saturday Arsenal will be hosting Fulham at the Emirates Stadium with the aim of winning their sixth Premier League game in a row and claim a place in the top four.

Saturday’s match could be very one sided with Fulham struggling to find form and Arsenal is on a strong winning streak.

Back in August there was speculation that Arsenal would be facing relegation after they were thrashed 8 -2 by Manchester United, however, since then they have found their form and won eight of their last ten league games. Robin Van Persie has returned to form, scored 33 goals this year and seems to be inspiring his team mates to better play. Thomas Vermaelen has returned from injury and the back four are now looking impressive as well. Now Wenger needs to keep his team’s confidence high and install the belief that they are capable of beating anyone.

Fulham on the other hand are just above the relegation zone since they lost five of their last three Premier League games. The team are frequently looking fatigued by their Europa League games and this was strongly highlighted in their draw with Sunderland last week. Their manager, Martin Jol, only has a very small group of players and it has been difficult for him to find a way to rotate them and keep everyone looking fresh. Fulham are also missing a number of players due to injury and they are set for a tough match on Saturday.

Arsenal has never lost to Fulham at home; they’ve won 22 games and drawn three and Fulham never managed to beat Arsenal at their home either. It seems that Saturday’s match could be a very one sided affair, but if Fulham manage to find the energy then there could be some fantastic football on display.

You can find odds of 4/9 for an Arsenal win at many online bookies such as William Hill and Bet365.
