Stoke City Look Set for win over Bolton
Whilst Stoke City have been struggling this season, they came back from three straight defeats to win away in the Europa League last Thursday against Maccabi Tel Aviv. This Sunday they will be hoping to repeat that achievement against Bolton.
At present Bolton are in the bottom three of the Premier League and facing relegation. They have lost all five of their home games, scored only four goals and conceded seventeen. To date they have only earned six points and lost a total of eight games. Whilst they have lost to teams such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United they have also been beaten by less impressive teams such as Norwich and Sunderland.
Generally Stoke City play better at home in front of their fans, however, there should be plenty of fans at Bolton and their opponents won’t have forgotten their 5 – 0 defeat in the FA Cup semi-final last April. During last Thursday’s match in Tel Aviv, Stoke’s best players Peter Crouch, Matthew Etherington, Jermaine Pennant and Rory Delap were not in the starting eleven so they will all be fresh for this match. At the same time Bolton are yet to win at home this season so it seems that Stoke are in with a decent chance.
The bookmakers are certainly putting the odds in Stoke’s favour. You can find odds of 9/4 that they will win their second away game of the season since beating West Brom last August. The best full time odds available are:
