Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $33 Million for Friday’s Draw
Tuesday’s Mega Millions lottery draw didn’t produce any jackpot winners and this means that the jackpot for Friday night’s draw has grown to $33 million.
While no one hit the jackpot, there were a few players that won large prizes. One Megaplier player matched five numbers to win $3 million while three other players without the Megaplier option matched five numbers to win $1 million each. A total of 957,743 players matched enough numbers to win prizes totalling $8,002,221.
Each line of numbers for the Mega Millions comprises of five numbers from 1 to 75 and a separate bonus number from 1 to 15. In order to win the lowest tier prize of $1 players just need to match the bonus ball, without the bonus ball players need to match at least three regular numbers to win a prize. Matching all five numbers and the bonus ball wins the $33 million jackpot.
Each line of numbers for the Mega Millions costs $1 and there is no limit on how many may be purchased each week. Tickets are available at vendors across the US and from a number of websites.
