Teenager Wins Lottery Twice in One Week

A very lucky teenager in California is probably still celebrating after winning the state lottery twice in one week and taking home a small fortune.

Rosa Dominguez, who is nineteen years old, recently stopped at a petrol station in Paso Robles on her drive home from Arizona. While she was there she decided to try her luck on the lottery and bought herself a few $5 scratch cards.

She was amazed when one of the cards awarded her the top prize of $555,555 and said that she was so nervous and surprised that she “just wanted to cry”.

While still enjoying the high of her first win, Dominguez decided to buy a few more scratch cards just a couple of days later. Once again she hit it lucky and won a further $100,000.

Speaking to the California Lottery after he win she said that she hopes to use the winnings to go shopping and buy herself a new car.

Her amazing feat is perhaps only bested by Rodney Meadows, also from California, who won the state lottery twice in one day back in 2015. Mr Meadows won $1,000 on his first card and then a massive $10 million just a few minutes later.

However, there are other stories of players enjoying multiple wins. Earlier this year a couple in Virginia won their state’s lottery three times in one month. Calvin and Zatera Spencer won $1 million in the Powerball lottery in March and two weeks later won a further $50,000 in a Pick 4 game. They then won another $1 million thanks to a scratch card.
