National Lottery Fury as Less Numbers Result in Bigger Wins
Once again the UK’s National Lottery is surrounded in controversy after last week’s draw saw those that match four numbers win more than those who matched five.
Last Wednesday night players that matched four balls won £51 each while those who matched five won just £15. Furthermore, those who matched three balls won £25 each. According to a Camelot spokeswoman there were a huge number of players that matched five balls because many of the winning numbers, 07, 14, 21, 35 and 42, were all multiples of 7. As a result the prize fund was distrusted between more players and the amount received lower.
For comparison in the four draws prior to last Wednesday there were 55, 36, 61 and 38 players that matched five numbers while on Wednesday there were 4,082. This weekend saw another lottery rollover so this coming Wednesday players have the chance to win a jackpot of £29.8 million.
