Ex-Chelsea Player Claims £5.5 Million National Lottery Jackpot

Fifty years after retiring from professional football, the ex-Chelsea player Terry Bradbury has finally become a multimillionaire after winning £5.5 million playing the national lottery.

Bradbury, 75, was the only winner from the lottery draw on Saturday, 5th July and he collected a total of £5,517,056. When playing for Chelsea, Bradbury would not have made more than £25 per week along with his teammates Terry Venables and Jimmy Greaves.

After learning of his win Bradbury expressed his shock and said that he still “can’t quite believe it.” He said that he is hoping to use the winnings to buy a villa in Spain as a holiday home for him and his family. He revealed that he and his wife bought the ticket in a lucky dip from a local shop and they are now pleased that the family has been provided with security for the future.
