South Africa’s Powerball Offers R3 Million Jackpot on Tuesday

On Friday night one lucky player hit the jackpot in the South African Powerball and was able to claim R24,613,777. As a result, this Tuesday’s jackpot drop to its seed amount and is an estimated to be worth R3 million.

On Friday the winning numbers were 1, 3, 6, 34, 37 and the Powerball was 1. In addition to the jackpot winner, there were five players that matched the five regular numbers to win R214,586 each. A further 289 players matched four regular numbers and the Powerball to win R26,907 each. In total there were 147,012 winning players that shared prizes of R29,144,255.

Players are awarded prizes for matching at least one regular number and the Powerball. Without the Powerball it is necessary to match at least three regular numbers to win a prize. The jackpot is won by matching all five of the regular numbers together with the Powerball.
