Powerball Jackpot Worth $60 Million for Wednesday’s Draw
Saturday’s Powerball lottery draw produced no jackpot winners so it has rolled over and Wednesday’s jackpot will be worth an estimated $60 million. This means that a jackpot winner could claim $36.6 million if they choose the cash option. While there were no jackpot winners, there were still 397,621 players that received prizes worth a total of $4,493,401. Furthermore, there were two tickets that won the $1 Million Match 5 prize, one from Florida and one from Minnesota.
Players of the Powerball will win a prize as long as they match at least the Powerball. Without the Powerball it is necessary to match at least three of the regular numbers in order to win a prize. The jackpot is won by any player that matches all five numbers and the Powerball.
To increase the prize value players can use the Power Play option.
This costs an extra $1 per line of numbers, but it greatly increases the return. For example, if the two players that matched five numbers at the last draw had used the Power Play their prize would have doubled to $2 million.
To enter the Powerball players can purchase tickets online or at vendors across the US.
