Powerball Jackpot Grows to $400 Million

Once again the Powerball jackpot has grown to an astronomical amount, and players across the state are eagerly waiting for Wednesday’s draw when a jackpot worth at least $400 million is up for grabs.
Last Saturday’s draw resulted in no winners; this means that if someone wins on Wednesday they could receive an immediate cash payment of $224 million after taxes, from a ticket which costs just $2.
It is highly likely that with the jackpot so big there will be a rise in the number of entries resulting in an even bigger jackpot.
Citizens of 43 US states as well as the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands are able to play.
Last month there were three winning tickets for a $448 million Powerball jackpot and in May of this year 84 year old Gloria C. MacKenzie from Zephyr Hills, Fla., won the record $590.5 million Powerball jackpot.
There have been some other huge wins this year, in March New Jersey resident Pedro Quezada had the only winning ticket for a $338 million jackpot, however, he had to clear up some child support issues before he was able to claim his prize.
