Lottery Prize Roundup
As always there is load of lottery action going on including unclaimed tickets and mystery winners.
Officials for New York Lottery have announced that they will be presenting an oversized check for $1 million to a woman from Queensbury who won playing a “Sweet Millions” ticket.
The presentation will take place this week at the lottery headquarters in Schenectady.
In the meantime there is still no word about a $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Queensbury on May 20th.
Lottery officials have said that it was sold to a group of people while the manager of the gas station it was bought at said it went to a group of 20 from a local restaurant. However, no further details have been released.
Finally, the deadline has passed to claim a $1 million Powerball prize from a ticket bought in New Jersey last year. The ticket was bought at a 7-Eleven in Elmwood Park on June 16th 2012, but no one ever came forward with the winning ticket. As a result, the ticket is now worthless and the prize can never be redeemed.
