15% of One Casino Operators Hide Criminal Records

A new study conducted by BestOCG.com has revealed that up to 15% of online casino owners hide a criminal record. This surprising news comes as a hard blow to the industry following several waves of bad publicity from anti-gambling groups.

In most industries, in order to establish a new company the potential owner must prove that he/she has a clean track record. In the dynamic online casino industry, however, general standards and practices are so often changed that sometimes, these things can go unnoticed.

The study was carried out by Juan Manuel, a Professor and expert in the field of business development, and a graduate from Universidad del Itsmo’s “Facultad de Ciencias Econ?micas y Empresariales” in Guatemala. With BestOCG.com financing the study, Manuel was able to perform extensive research on the histories of various online casino owners. A total of 119 online casino owners were analyzed, and the results came as a surprise to many.

The study findings have appeared at what is widely considered a critical time for the online casino industry, in which many are holding their breath that several illegal jurisdictions will reconsider their stance on online gambling, namely the US, South Africa and a selection of EU members. To date, the UK remains the industry leader in setting the standards for professional online casino operations, yet this stands in stark contrast with many others, who either hold monopoly control over online casino gambling, or have banned the activity completely.
