Gantsevich has been appointed to the board of the new fencing association which will aim to develop fencing clubs in the Pan American area.

A total of 22 presidents from various National Fencing Associations in the Pan American zone took part in the meeting and voted on the establishment of the Executive Committee to run the new association. The hope is that the association will develop clubs and club championships within the Pan American zone.

Gantsevich was congratulated by the Canadian Fencing Federation on his unanimous appointment as a member of the Executive Committee. He is a former National team member for Men’s Epee, a current Athlete Representative on the CFF Board and he also owns and operates the Dynamo Fencing Club in Richmond with his father.

After his appointment Gantsevich said, “I believe this organization will be very beneficial for the further development of fencing clubs in our zone which will ultimately result in increasing the development of fencers in Canada. Fencing clubs are the backbone of our association and anything we can do to help clubs develop is extremely worthwhile.”
