Bookies Taking Bets on Royal Baby Names

Bookmakers are busy taking bets on the name of the next Prince or Princess of Cambridge. Prince William and Kate Middleton are not due to have their child until April and the sex has not been revealed, but punters are still keen on placing bets.

According to Ladbrokes the favourite name is Alice at 6/1 followed by Victoria at 8/1. At William Hill Alice is also favourite at 8/1 but it is closely followed by Arthur and Victoria both of which are at 9/1. Unsurprisingly the odds on the baby’s sex are the same at 10/11 on both a boy and a girl.

Other names favoured by Ladbrokes and William Hill are Albert (12/1 and 10/1), Alexandra (16/1 at both bookies) and Elizabeth (16/1 and 14/1). The least likely name is Wayne at 500/1 and 250/1 respectively.
