Bookies Cut Odds on BBC Cancelling Second Series of Top Gear

After a much hyped return Top Gear seems to be disappointing viewers week after week and now bookmakers are slashing the odds of a second series.
Viewing figures have been dropping each week since the series relaunched five weeks ago which prompted Betway to cut its odds from 5/4 to 4/5 on the BBC cancelling the next series. If the show does get a second series then it seems that it is increasingly unlikely that Chris Evans will continue to present it. Just two weeks ago bookies had odds of 1/2 of Evans staying with the show but the odds have now been lengthened to 5/4.
Furthermore, in recent days there have been rumours that co-host Matt LeBlanc will quit if Evans doesn’t go first. The former Friends star is reportedly unhappy with Evans’ rudeness towards members of the team.
