Welsh Woman Becomes Sky Bingo’s First Millionaire

Sky Bingo made its first ever millionaire recently when Chrissie Johnson, a chiropodist from Wales, won a payout of more than £1.3 million.

Johnson has been a member of Sky Bingo for just over a year and she was playing on the popular slot game Chests of Plenty for around 20 minutes when she saw £300,000 appear in the winnings. She continued watching the screen and the figure continued to rise until it said that she had won the game’s progressive jackpot.

She said that she enjoys playing at Sky Bingo because of the community atmosphere on the site and its ability to help her stay occupied during the nights when she struggled to sleep following a period of ill health.

To hit the jackpot Johnson triggered the slot’s Chest Bonus round and opened the three treasure chests to find nine diamonds.

After winning the jackpot Sky Betting & Gaming treated Johnson to a night of entertainment in Leeds. She said that she enjoys Sky Bingo as they “play fair” she went on to say that she can’t “thank them enough” and said that thanks to the winnings she is now looking forwards to spending more quality time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

The head of Bingo and Poker Marketing at Sky, James Board, said that they are “delighted for Chrissie”. He went on to say that the win is “proof that the excitement is real, as dreams really do come true”.

The exact amount that Johnson won was £1,346,155.88 and the progressive jackpot has already grown to over £100,000.
