Jay McGuiness Strong Favourite to Win Strictly Come Dancing
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing competition is well underway and has been dominating headlines in recent times.
Of course the bookmakers are completely up-to-date with the latest action from the show and are offering a fantastic selection of betting markets.
The favourite to win is Jay McGuiness with odds of around 7/10 at most bookies. Last weekend he impressed the audience with a hot salsa routine and the judges announced that he and his dancing partner, Aliona Vilani, were safe. Jay was told that he “blended with the professionals” and it certainly seems that he is on the path to victory.
Georgia May Foote is a distant second favourite with odds of around 11/4. However, last weekend she got the highest score on the show, an impressive 38. That marked the second week in a row that she came out top and this has led to a shortening of her odds.
It seems that luck is running out for Kellie Bright as she is the bookies’ favourite to be eliminated this week with odds of 9/4 followed by Katie Derham at 5/2. While Bright ended last show joint second on the leader board, it is thought that she won’t manage to progress past this weekend. Derham scored an impressive 35 last weekend with an retro-inspired American Smooth to Dean Martin’s swing classic Ain’t That A Kick In The Head. However, it remains to be seen if she will make it past the tenth week of the show.
There are still a few weeks to go before the finals so be sure to keep an eye on the odds to see if the favourites remain over the coming weeks.
