X Factor Gears Up for First Live Elimination
On Saturday night the final 16 X Factor contestants performed live on television for the first time. Fans already new the 12 contestants that had been put through from the judges’ houses but four more were brought back as wild cards.
Lola Saunders, Overload, Stevi Ritchie and Jack Walton were brought back and performed alongside Chloe Jasmine, Stephanie Nala, Lauren Platt, Jake Quickenden, Paul Akister, Andrea Faustini, Blonde Electric, Only The Young, Stereo Kicks, Jay James, Fleur East and Ben Haenow.
Andrea Faustini is by far the favourite to win this year’s show with odds of 7/4, miles ahead of his nearest rival Ben Haenow who is at 4/1. Last night Faustini performed Michael Jackson’s Earth Song and received massive amounts of praise from both the judges and the audience.
Two contestants will be eliminated tonight and the bookies think it will be Steph Nala (7/4 to be the next elimination) and Blonde Electric (9/4). Last night Steph Nala performed Everything I Own while Blonde Electric sang Kids In America. Nala was told by Louis Walsh that she looked amazing but “sounded awful”. However, Blonde Electric were described as “refreshing” and Simon Cowell said, “I kind of look forward to you every time I see you.”
