One lucky video poker player has hit the progressive jackpot playing SuperJax and bagged a prize of over £50,000.

SuperJax is a video poker game from Microgaming and, like most video poker games, it is extremely straightforward. However, it does come with a slight twist, the deck of cards has 53 cards and the sole purpose of the extra card is to help form the jackpot paying hand.

To win the progressive jackpot, players need to place a maximum coin bet on the game and then be dealt four Jacks and the SuperJax card.

The coin size in the game is fixed at 1.00, this means that a maximum five coin bet isn’t obscenely large, it’s just 5.00 coins.

It is possible to play with smaller bets, but it means the progressive jackpot can’t be won. However, there is a non-progressive jackpot for players that are dealt a Royal Flush. A Royal Flush pays out 3000 coins when playing with 5 coins, 1000 coins when playing with 4, 750 with 3, 500 with 2 and 250 with 1.

Each time the progressive jackpot is won it resets to £5000 and normally grows very quickly in between hits. It has been won 10 times in the last year and the smallest payout was £18,628.
