WPT to Head to Holland

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is heading to Holland in October for the first time.

A five-day poker festival will take place at the Holland Casino in Valkenburg.

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is expanding with their first ever Holland event.

The tournament calendar includes a €500 + €50 four day Main Event, a €1,350 + €150 two-day High Roller event as well as a €225+€25 one-day big stack event.

Noël Leise, Holland Casino Director, commented that they were thrilled to host such an event with the WPT as it was bringing something to Holland that local players have never experienced.

Leise went on to say that their prime location will attract players from other countries including: Germany, France and Belgium.

The Holland Casino is situated high up in the Cauberg Mountains in Southern Holland and is a superb location with spectacular views.

Adam Pliska, President of the World Poker Tour, said that the WPT is delighted to be expanding their global footprint and to be travelling to Holland to host the first WPT in the country.

Pliska added, “This is a very exciting partnership for us of which we hope will include many events in the future.”

The Holland WPT National Event begins Wednesday, October 1st 2014 with the first satellite of €50+10 to the Main Event. The festival concludes on Sunday, 5th October.
