APPT Announce Schedule for 2014 Asia Championship of Poker

Last week the Asia Pacific Poker Tour released the schedule of the 2014 Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP). ACOP is a series of 21 tournaments which will take place at PokerStars LIVE Macau from October 24th until November 9th.

This year’s Asia Championship of Poker features new events and larger prize pools than ever before.

Included are 14 ACOP Title Events which have a wide range of buy-ins from HK$2,500 up to HK$500,000.

As in previous years, the winners of these events will receive a ‘Spadie’ trophy as well as their winnings.

At the heart of the series is the HK$100,000 Main Event. It has a guaranteed HK$15 million prize pool and the winner will also receive the ‘Gold Spadie’.

Last year 2,235 players took part in the poker festival and this year an even larger playing field is expected.

At present PokerStars is running a series of online satellites to the ACOP so players from around the world have the chance to win a seat.

The festival will begin with the HK$2,500 Rebuy Championship and the HK$11,000 Deepstack Championship, these events have HK$500,000 and HK$1,000,000 guaranteed prize pools.

New this year is the ‘2m GTD Spadie’ event. It is a HK$8,800 buy-in tournament which has a $2 million guaranteed prize pool. There will also be a Super High Roller event which has a HK$500,000 buy-in and allows for two re-buys.
