Mike Tyson Looks Forward to Return to Turning Stone Casino
The former heavyweight boxing world champion, Mike Tyson, has been discussing his return to the Turning Stone Resort Casino on June 6th for a special ESPN Friday Night Fights event.
It is Tyson’s second event at Turning Stone in the last year, last August he made headlines when he debuted as a promoter and provided personal revelations at the post-fight press conference.
This is the video from his previous press conference at the Turning Stone.
Tyson said, “I’m very much looking forward to coming back to Turning Stone. I have deep roots in Upstate New York. It was just sensational the last time we were there and we’ll have an even better show this time. Turning Stone was the first stop in my career as a promoter and I’m looking forward to bringing back another successful event.”
Tyson explained that he first put on boxing gloves in upstate New York when he was under the tutelage of Cus D’Amato. He also said that he’s been sober since the last event at Turning Stone and is currently winning his battle with substance and alcohol abuse.
Tyson will participate in a number of on-site events at Turning Stone in June of which more details are due to be announced soon.
