On Tuesday, World Poker Tour enterprises (WPT) and DeepStacks Poker Tour (DSPT) partnered in order to create WPTDeepStacks.

The focus of the mid-major poker tours offers regional events with more affordable buy-ins.

To boost the success of these tours, World Poker Tour enterprises (WPT) and DeepStacks Poker Tour (DSPT) joined forces in order to create WPTDeepStacks.

This consolidated tour will now offer players the operational capabilities of DeepStacks under the WPT brand and it will also replace the existing DeepStacks Poker Tour and the WPT Regional.

As a result of this partnership, players will also enjoy the added benefit of an improved player experience and a guarantee of a higher pool prize. The added bonus is that the winner of the WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year award will win an array of prizes.

These prizes will include a seat in the WPT Championship, a custom-built WPTDeepStacks poker table as well as added buy-ins and accommodation at special events provided by WPTDeepStacks.

This recent partnership will also enable WPT to build their mid-major market which DeepStacks has already grown both domestically and internationally over the last three seasons.

If you want in on the action then the 2014 edition of WPTDeepStacks is currently being offered at the existing DSPT stops. The plan however is to add additional stops, up to 20, by 2015 and to ensure that the prizes and offerings are customized for each region.

Both WPT and DSPT are determined to make a success of this partnership by offering poker players an entertaining experience while addressing their needs. In this way, they are hoping to create brand loyalty and to provide players with the chance to feel like they are a part of the poker majors.
