WSOP Circuit National Championship to Take Place at Bally’s Atlantic City
It has been announced that the World Series of Poker Circuit will culminate this year at the new WSOP-branded Bally’s Atlantic City poker room from May 22-24 with the fourth-annual National Championship.
This season players have been qualifying for the National Championship by either winning the Main Event or Casino Championship at each stop. A total of 44 qualifiers have advanced to the final stage and an additional 50 players can qualify via at-large bids which come from collecting points on the National Leaderboard.
This has left six seats unaccounted for and now the WSOP has revealed how they will be awarded. Two seats will be awarded on WSOP.com in both Nevada and New Jersey through online freerolls. A further two seats will be awarded through online knockout tournaments. Bally’s Atlantic City will be hosting a live tournament freeroll that will award one seat. The final seat will be given away through a two-day qualifier at Bally’s just before the National Championship.
It is also possible for the 100 players atop the WSOP World Rankings to buy into the event for $10,000. This means that the field will be between 100-200 players and have a prize pool of $1-$2 million.
