Great Britain vs Italy Davis Cup Clash Preview

This April Great Britain’s Davis Cup quarter-final match with Italy will take place in Naples on a clay court. After beating the United States in San Diego, Britain has reached the World Group last eight for the first time since 1986.

Great Britain is in the last eight of the Davis Cup World Group for the first time since 1986 but face tough competition from the Italians.
It seems that the bookies agree as the best odds on a Great British victory are 6/5 while the Italians have much shorter odds of 8/13.
Andy Murray has already said that he will be playing in the tie and James Ward will be hoping to take the second singles spot after his impressive victory over Sam Querrey.
The British team captain Leon Smith said, “We’re very excited to be playing our World Group quarter-final in Naples. The Italians have a very strong team and we are under no illusions as to how difficult this tie will be but our team put on a phenomenal performance to beat the USA earlier this month, and so we hope to carry that momentum forward and give this tie absolutely everything we’ve got.”
