Snakes in Pennsylvania Casino a Hoax

The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in eastern Pennsylvania is busy trying to dispel an online rumor. Last week reports appeared on the internet that visitors to the casino are being bitten by snakes.

Snakes in Pennsylvania Casino a Hoax

Rumors circulating on the internet about snakes in a Pennsylvania casino have proved to be a hoax.

However, a spokeswoman for the casino, Julia Corwin, has insisted that there have been no reported snake encounters at the casino.

She says that if there were any then they would certainly be spotted by the casinos surveillance cameras.

The statement from Las Vegas Sands Corp. read “There have been no reported incidents of snakes on our property. We do not allow any animals on property with the exception of service animals.”

The story claimed that a patient went to the doctor about some kind of insect bite and the doctor told them that they had a snake bite. The doctor then asks if the patient had recently visited the casino as they are the 14th person to come to the office with a snake bite received from the casino that week.

The original post which sparked the online rumor has since been deleted however, not before it had spread far and wide across the net.
