TCOOP – The Perfect Series for Recreational Players

Gareth Chantler has won the $215 Knockout tournament in PokerStars’ Turbo Championship of Online Poker. Chantler took home $97,000 in prize money plus a further $1000 in bounties. Amazingly enough the only reason Chantler entered the competition is because he was assigned to cover it for the PokerStars blog.

TCOOP – The Perfect Series for Recreational Players

PokerStars’ Turbo Championship of Online Poker is the perfect series for players looking for action filled fast paced poker action.

The PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) is a huge hit with online poker fans. A major reason for this is the length of each tournament; they tend to last from 3 to 5 hours.

This means that it is easy to fit the tournaments into daily schedules without the need for too much disruption.

Furthermore, the speed of the tournaments means that players don’t need to have as much endurance. Longer tournaments can be extremely draining and it can be hard to maintain focus.

A major draw to the series is that PokerStars is guaranteeing $15 million in prizes. There are a total of fifty events including a $700 Main Event with a top prize of $300,000. The Main Event is expected to last just five hours and offers a great opportunity to quickly win some cash.

In many ways TCOOP is the perfect series for recreational players who are looking for action packed poker but without having to disrupt their day to day lives.
