Rivers Casino Hosts Pittsburgh Poker Open

This week the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh is hosting the area’s first televised poker tournament, the Pittsburgh Poker Open. The event features a number of tournaments leading up to the Main Event on November 29th all of which are being held in the Rivers’ 30-table poker room.

This week the Pittsburgh Poker Open is taking place, the area’s first televised poker tournament, with a number of high-profile players taking part.
The Poker Open has attracted a number of world-famous poker players such as Greg ‘Fossilman’ Raymer, Joe Cada, Darvin Moon, Don O’Brien and Steve Dannenmann. All of them are participating in the high-stakes cash game along with two local players; it is an invite only game with buy-ins of up to $20,000.
The Main Event includes two starting days with re-entry options and a first-place prize of over $100,000.
The Assistant General Manager of Rivers Casino, Bud Green, said “We’re about to find out who is the best poker player in Pittsburgh. As a bonus, we’re thrilled to be attracting some players you usually only see on TV to our poker room.”
