Microgaming Introduces Rewards System to Poker Network
Microgaming has just updated its poker network (MPN) with a new rewards system called ‘Achievements’.The new system will reward players for completing a number of challenges within a game. It is a similar system to those already in place at PartyPoker and Winamax. When players complete a challenge they are awarded a badge that can be displayed at their table.
Some of the rewards are very simple, such as ‘Pimp My Client’ which requires the player to configure the MPN poker client to suit them. However, others will require a bit more work such as the ‘All Rounder’ achievement which is awarded to players who play all poker variants.
The Head of Network Games at MPN, Lydia Melton, said, “Poker isn’t just about winning money, it’s also about challenging yourself and your friends and having fun doing it. Our new Achievements feature is about enhancing this aspect of poker.”
Christopher Hirst, the Head of Poker at Betsson Group thinks that the new rewards system will help take the network to a new level, “Making poker more fun and challenging in new and exciting ways is very important to us. We’re very happy that the MPN shares the same goals and we think Achievements will be a real game changer.”
