Rank Group Launches Loyalty Scheme to Aid Online Presence

Rank Group, the UK based casino group, is hoping to utilise its strong land based presence in order to increase its online profile. The group has announced that it is setting up a loyalty programme which will allow players to visit its land casinos to collect points and use them online.
The CEO of Rank Group, Ian Burke, said that the “crossover between online and clubs” gives the group a “huge opportunity” to increase its revenues. Burke believes that the group’s 55 casinos in the UK give it great potential to become “natural winners in the online market.”
Recent statistics showed that just 4.6% of Rank customers in the UK engage in online gambling. In order to improve this the group is introducing the Play Points scheme to allow players to collect points for playing and dining at venues and then use the points to gamble online.
Burke also said that there is a chance that the group will reintroduce sports betting. Burke said, “We know sports betting is a product consumed by many of our customers so we haven’t given up thinking about how we can offer this, but as yet there are no specific plans.”
