Massive Prize Pool at Seminole Hard Rock Main Event

The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship Event has attracted a massive 2,384 players and completely shattered its $10 million guarantee. It needed 2,000 players to cover the guarantee and by the time registration had closed the prize pool had grown to almost $12 million.
The tournament featured three starting flights and there are currently 38 players left competing for the top spot. It is one of the very few tournaments to payout over $1 million for first place, however, the top two players will both receive seven figure sums. The winner will take home a massive $1.7 million while second place will claim $1.1 million.
The top 338 players will all make money in the tournament and some notable players have already cashed out including Joseph Cheong, Nick Schulman, Chino Rheem and actress Shannon Elizabeth.
There are still a number of notable poker pros in contention for the top prize including Justin Bonomo, David “Doc” Sands, Adam Levy and chip leader Amir Lehavot. Lehavot is a former bracelet winner and will be at this November’s WSOP Main Event final table.
