Neil Johnson Announces EPT Season 10 Changes

The PokerStars Live Events Specialist Neil Johnson has announced some changes for Season 10 of the European Poker Tour (EPT) which begins later this month with EPT Barcelona.

Neil Johnson of PokerStars has announced a number of changes for the upcoming European Poker Tour season.
The first change is that late registration for high rollers, super high rollers, and main events will be extended until the start of Day 2.
Furthermore, in all side events, including satellites, players will have the chance to register up until the start of Level 5.
Last season all high-roller events were two days, however, they rarely finished on time so this season high rollers will be three-day events and the first two days will play 10 levels.
Johnson also said that there will be more non-no-limit hold’em events. He also suggested that there might be a draw game added to each stop of the Italian Poker Tour and the possibility of a $1,000 Draw Championship at EPT Sanremo.
There will also be changes to pay outs. All events will payout between 13% and 15% of the field. The minimum payout has been set at 1.7 times the buy-in for all events, after a 3% deduction for the prize pool.
It was also reported that there will be more emphasis placed on the EPT Player of the Year award at the EPT Awards.
