UKIPT Galway Main Event Down to Final eight

The UKIPT Galway Main Event has been whittled down to the final table of eight from the 51 players that returned for Day 3. It took eight levels of play, however, in the end Scotland’s Alan Gold will be heading into the Final Table with the biggest stack of 4,050,000 chips.

There are only eight players left in the UKIPT Galway Main Event with Alan Gold still holding the chip lead.

Gold was top of the leader board from the end of Day 1a and he used his stack to play aggressively and apply pressure to shorter stacks looking to ladder up. The strategy has paid off and now Gold has a chance of claiming the €205,600 first-place prize.

Behind Gold at the final table is Daragh Davey with 3,435,000 chips. Davey is followed by Paul Febers (2,910,000), Dimitri Pembroke (1,915,000), Jonathan Slater (1,600,000) and Benjamin Spragg (1,440,000). Also at the table both with 695,000 are Christy Morkan and Damian Porebski.

Davey is one of three players that still have a chance of winning the Full Tilt Poker UKIPT sponsorship package for the last FTP qualifier standing in the UKIPT Galway Main Event. Either Davey, Gold or Porebski could win an entry and their expenses paid for the remaining UKIPT Main Events in Season 4 taking place in London, Isle of Man and Nottingham.
