Zynga Launches New Facebook Game – Fairy Tale Twist
Zynga has launched a new Facebook game called Fairy Tale Twist. It is a free to play game, part of a series that has been launched since Don Mattrick took over as chief executive in early July.
The game transports the player to a world full of fairy tale characters, players need to match three items in a row in order to make them disappear from a grid.
While this sounds like Bejeweled there are in fact many differences.
If you can’t solve the game puzzle in a certain number of moves then you fail the level, however, it is possible to purchase extra moves. If you finish a level you’re encouraged to invite friends to play. There are a number of twists which helps to make the game more challenging.
As players progress through the puzzles a fairy tale story unfolds, Zynga is planning to add more chapters, levels and game play features over the coming months.
The game looks like it’s aimed at kids, however, because of child protection laws Facebook and Zynga are not allowed to actively target young children so it will be interesting to see if the game gains a fan base. However, there is a chance that some teens will find it appealing.
