The fourth day of action at the Full Tilt Poker Galway Festival saw the end of Event #8, the UK vs. Ireland Heads-Up Championship.

At the Full Tilt Poker Galway Festival Gus Hansen claimed victory on Day 4 in the UK vs. Ireland Heads-Up Championship
In the end the event was won by The Great Dane, Gus Hansen. Day 4 also saw three more no-limit hold’em tournaments as well as Event #14, the €50 Doubles Pool Tournament.
However, without a doubt Gus Hansen was the man of the day. After winning he said that “There were no walks in the park. I played twelve hours yesterday and twelve hours today. I didn’t sleep last night and haven’t eaten anything today.” After Gus lost a match to his final round opponent, Dave Nicholson, he quickly did fifty push-ups on the set of the final table to get his head straight.
After it was all over Gus said, “I need to give a lot of credit to my opponent, he played great. If I had to guess, he played better than me.”
After winning Gus put on a green hat, draped the Irish flag around himself and toasted a Guinness to his opponent. For his victory Gus won €16,151 and the title.
