ANZPT Season 5 Finale Begins at SkyCity Queensland
The Main Event at the final stop of Season 5 of PokerStars’ Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) begun this week in Queenstown, New Zealand.
The Main Event of the final stop of ANZPT Season 5 has begun at the SkyCity Queensland casino.
The tournament has a buy-in of $3,000 and is being held at the SkyCity Queenstown Casino. It will have 3 Day 1 flights which began with forty players playing a day of 5 one hour levels.
At the end of the first day Michael Chon was at the top of the leaderboard and will return with 26 other survivors to continue play on Friday.
While it is a PokerStars event the main news came from its sister site, Full Tilt Poker. Full Tilt has announced three new Tour Ambassadors for the ANZPT, Tom Grigg, Jono Karamalikis and Liam O’Rourke.
The three will all wear Full Tilt patches when playing live and appear as “Red Pros” when playing online. All of them are taking part in the Queenstown even and are expected to be present in future special events.
PokerStars has also confirmed a few dates of the ANZPT Season 6 which will begin on November 20th at SkyCity Auckland with a $2,200 Main Event.
