Day 1C of WSOP Main Event
Day 1C of the WSOP Main Event took place this week and it proved to be the busiest of the three flights with 3,466 players taking part.
At the end of the day Mark Kroon was leading the pack with a stack of 246,300, joining Kroon with over 200K chips was Imari Love with 214,300.
Michael Mizrachi, the three time bracelet winner, was in third place with chips having spent much of the day as chip leader.
Some of poker’s biggest names took part in Day 1C such as Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Jason Mercier, Joe Hachem, Allen Cunningham, Nick Schulman, Antonio Esfandiari and Ben Lamb, all of them progress to Day 2.
The day wasn’t so successful for everyone, among those not to survive were Brandon Cantu, Phil Laak, Vanessa Rousso, Tom Schneider, Eric Buchman, Shaun Deeb, Jennifer Tilly, Prahlad Friedman, Jeff Madsen, Loni Harwood, 2010 champ Jonathan Duhamel, and 1996 champion Huck Seed.
Day 2 is taking place over the course of this week in three separate flights.
