Danielle Moon Andersen Enjoys Summer 2013
Danielle Moon Andersen, the online high stakes poker player, has had an excellent summer. She has made three trips to Las Vegas over the course of the WSOP, most notably for the premier of the film Bet Raise Fold: The Story of Online Poker.
Andersen also won her first WSOP cash in the $10,000 Ladies No Limit Hold’em Championship; she finished 44th and won $3,709. Andersen usually plays online and has only participated in eight WSOP events in her career.
Commenting on her participation Andersen said, “It was exciting and disappointing as well. I had a good feeling the whole time and thought I had a good shot at final tabling it. I’m a cash player and don’t really play tournaments. I don’t want to say I play tournaments recreationally because I’m always trying to make money, but I only play a few a year.”
As one of the leading online female cash games players the prize money was not a big deal for Andersen, “Perspective wise the cash isn’t that big of a deal. I don’t care about the money. I was playing to win.”
However, she will be back for the Main Event and hope to add some more WSOP cash to her resume.
