Anthony Gregg Wins One Drop High Roller Event
Over the weekend Anthony Gregg won the One Drop High Roller Event at the WSOP, with it came his first WSOP bracelet and an incredible $4.8 million in prize money. After his victory Gregg said, “Ever since I saw the tournament on the WSOP schedule, I thought I was going to win.”
An amazing 166 players paid the $111,111 buy-in to make the even the largest high roller even in the history of the game. Most of the players were wealthy businessmen, philanthropists or the game’s top professionals. $3,000 of every buy in went to support One Drop, an organisation which tries to ensure access to clean water for everyone in the world.
Gregg faced Chris Klodnicki heads-up at the end of the tournament and it didn’t take very long for Gregg to claim victory.
“It’s just a lot of relief,” he said. “I had high hopes for this tournament, and it’s like a real roller coaster ride … I just tried to stay positive.”
Straight after winning Gregg went to play in the $25,000 buy-in Event 52. The event has a $1.2 million prize up for grabs so be sure to check back here for updates to find out if Gregg can pull off another win.
