Two More WSOP Gold Bracelet Winners
Day 20 of the 2013 World Series of Poker saw two more players win gold bracelets. Isaac Hagerling and Jason Duval both joined the elite poker club after their impressive victories.
Hagerling won the $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em (Mixed Max) event on his birthday and won a fantastic $372,387. To win he had to defeat bracelet winner Max Steinberg heads-up, and thanks to a lucky card in the river he was able to claim the biggest pot in the match.
Hagerling made the championship round by winning four heads-up matches on Day 3. On his way there he had to beat other talented players such as Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Jeremy Ausmus. In his final heads-up against Steinberg they played 107 hands before a winner was decided.
Later in the day Jason Duval became the seventh Canadian to win a bracelet this summer when he won the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event. Duval finally won after a heads-up battle with Majid Yahyaei which lasted for over two hours. In the end Duval took home $521,202 and Yahyaei $324,442.
Meanwhile the $5,000 H.O.R.S.E event is still not over after tournament staff ended play for the day, the final four players will return and play to a finish on Tuesday.
