EA Announces Need for Speed Rivals
Electronic Arts has announced Need for Speed Rivals, a new action and racing game which will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in November.
The game has been developed by EA’s newest studio, Ghost Games, which is expected to bring new thinking to the game together with the expert racing team at Criterion Games. The game will also be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
Players choose to take the role of either a cop or a racer, each role has a number of high stakes challenges, rewards and consequences. Racers must aim to become famous by risk taking and capturing intense escapes on video to share with the world.
Cops need to collect Speed Points in order to unlock new cars and items. As a cop players will work as part of a team in pursuit of racers and can earn prominence and rise the ranks of the Police Force.
The Executive Produce of Ghost Games, Marcus Nilsson said, “For the first time, players will have the freedom to seamlessly go from single player to co-op to multiplayer. In Need for Speed Rivals we are creating one game experience with one progression, where the freedom to play with friends is more fluid and accessible than ever before.”
