Man Punches Slot Machine While Celebrating 63 Birthday
A man from New York has admitted punching a slot machine at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem while celebrating his 63rd birthday over the weekend. His punch has left the casino with a bill of $1,510 for replacing the video display screen.
There has been a criminal complaint filed against the man, John Kim, but it doesn’t mention what caused him to punch the machine.
According to the filing Kim punched the machine at 12:58am, there act was caught on surveillance video which later saw him waiting for a departing bus. Police were dispatched at around 1:46am.
The video shows the casino’s security supervisor speaking to Kim in the car park where he admitted to punching the machine.
The complaint containing the details was filed by Trooper Salvatore Alaimo of state police at Bethlehem.
The complaint also mentions that Kim was not carrying a valid identification card and could not provide a permanent address, however, the lead sheet says that Kim lives on 43rd Avenue in Woodside, Queens.
Kim has been charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned on Monday morning and committed to Northampton County Prison in place of $3,000 bail.
