Powerball Jackpot Grows to $270 Million

Last week it was announced by the California Lottery that no tickets had matched all six numbers in the Powerball draw.

After no one won the Powerball jackpot last week, this weekend’s jackpot is estimated to be worth at least $270 million.
This means that no one won the jackpot of $222 million. The numbers that were drawn were 21, 22, 26, 30 and 57, the Powerball number was 27.
However, there was good news for three players that won the $2 million Match 5 Power Play. The players came from Nebraska, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
There was also a ticket sold in New Jersey which had five matching numbers but not the Powerball and is worth $1 million.
The next draw will take place on Saturday May 11 and the jackpot is estimated to be worth at least $270 million. Tickets cost $2 each and can be purchased in a number of stores.
The Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot always resets to $40 million and the largest jackpot ever of $588 million was won in November 2012.
